With the release of the National COVID-19 Preparedness Plan by the White House this month, the U.S. has highlighted the importance of viral safety with a welcome emphasis on the role of clean indoor air in protecting and maintaining our health.
The guideline introduces a new resource that's currently being developed by the EPA called the Clean Air in Buildings Checklist that will serve as "a set of recommendations that any building can undertake to improve indoor air quality through effective ventilation and filtration practices." They also plan to launch a "Clean Air in Buildings Challenge" which will call on facility managers, building owners, and organizations to implement ventilation and filtration improvements in all types of buildings across the country.
Verdacity's Indoor Air Quality Management expertise continues to play a major part in the success of our projects, which recently includes two Fitwel Certifications in New Mexico and California, and a Fitwel Viral Response Module Certification in Los Angeles. These certifications directly address the necessity for proper air filtration and ventilation in the built environment using guidance developed by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and the General Services Administration.
As Clean Air in Buildings initiatives roll out and begin to make an impact on project goals and requirements, will you be ready? Verdacity can help get your team up to speed with IAQ basics, viral safety recommendations, certification management and reporting, and "Clean Air in Buildings Challenge" participation.
