The Green Building Initiative (GBI) has named Verdacity founder Kris Callori as their 2021 Individual Member of the Year!
This is the first annual GBI Member of the Year award which, going forward, will continue to recognize "one organizational member and one individual member who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to supporting GBI’s mission to improve the built environment and reduce climate impacts."
In a press release they detailed Kris' nomination:
Kris Callori is nationally influential in sustainable building as the founder & principal of Verdacity, a sustainability and design architecture firm, based in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Kris has a long history of supporting GBI and its mission. She was an early adopter of GBI’s Guiding Principles Compliance program, earning her GPCP credential in in 2014. She earned her GGP credential in 2019 when Verdacity joined GBI as an Organizational member.
Kris has served as a champion for Green Globes certification in her home state, providing education for state and local governments and encouraging the adoption of GBI's certification tools. She has also supported the credentialing of her team, leading to five additional GBI Professional Credentials at Verdacity. She has led several projects through Green Globes assessments, including current renovations of the Paradise Hills Community Center in Bernalillo County, New Mexico.
